Thieves Use Disguises to Gain Access to Homes

Two suspected thieves who used the tactics of disguising themselves as Denpasar Electricity Company (PLN) staff have been seized in Denpasar. They were identified as 42 years old Edi Julianto who lives on Cokroaminoto Street and 35 years old Cecep who lives on Pulau Moyo Street, Gang Sandat Sari number IX, South Denpasar.

“They committed their crime by pretending to be PLN staff,” said I Nyoman Artana the Denpasar Police Deputy Head. From his explanation, it is understood there were at least four victims whose money had been taken.

The victims are Morina (44 yo), a resident from Gunung Sari IV street, Denpasar; I Made Karsana (47 yo) a resident from Buana Kubu Street Gang Asem Tegal Harum, West Denpasar; A. A. Ngurah Putra Widara a resident from Cargo Sari Street, Padangsambian Denpasar; and Helmi Fathurreazy (30) a resident from Patih Nambi Street, Denpasar. From these four victims, both suspects stole various items from laptop’s to jewellery (gold).

Furthermore, there are officers currently investigating the case. “We have confiscated some evidence, however we could not retrieve all as many items of evidence have been sold by the suspects,” Artana told Tribun Bali.
