Tribal Hostel
Tribal Hostel is everything you need when staying in Canggu.
Away from the busy Canggu crowds in scenic Pererenan, with natural surroundings and an amazing open design, it is modern and tropical space FULL of incredible amenities.
Created with digital nomads in mind, the ground floor of the hostel is a coworking paradise with standing benches, roomy desks, slouchy couches and a hella good cafe. You can get down to business on your laptop on the high-speed WiFi with a tasty avo-toast to keep you energised.
The first floor is the hostel, with spacious dorms and private rooms. Cosy and comfortable, the dorm beds have personal sockets and lights, while the private rooms are right out of a hotel.
Along with a infinity pool, billiard table and fun, industrial style, Tribal Hostel is a must-try for any remote worker in Canggu.

I love this Mediterranean style hostel. It’s bright, fun and trendy – perfect for my instagram feed!
Kos One Hostel is a young and comfortable hostel located in the heart of Batu Bolong, just steps from restaurants, bars and the beach. It is one of the best hostels if you are looking to remain central, and walking distance to amenities – and parties – yet still get a glimpse of beautiful island life.
All of the dorm rooms are comfortable and cosy with spacious beds, air-conditioning and modern facilities.
The Canggu hostel has 2 pools, beautiful rice paddy views and an on-site pool club – Alternative Beach Club!
Centrally Located Hostel
Dip & Doze Boutique Hostel
Dip & Doze is a super affordable spot in a vibrant Canggu neighbourhood. They have both air-conditioned dorms as well as private guestrooms with en-suite bathrooms for those who have some extra cash to splash.
Each dorm bed and room has large lockers, international power outlets and curtains for privacy and convenience.
Get to know the other backpackers around the pool or take a stroll to Berawa Beach for an excellent sunset. Perfectly located, you can enjoy the best hotspots of Canggu in just a short walk.
Convenient Tropical Getaway
Canggu Castle
Centred around a shared pool, Canggu Castle is a bright and spacious hostel with both private and dorm-style rooms.
I love that the communal living areas are by the poolside. If you don’t feel like laying out in the sun but your friends insist, you can chill out in the bar right beside them!
Head up to the rooftop as the sun begins to set for a prime view of the sky changing to magnificent colours.

Relaxing Peaceful Retreat
Margarita Surf Hostel
A tropical and comfortable Canggu hostel, just a few minutes drive from the centre of town, Margarita Surf Hostel is a chilled and sunny getaway from the busy streets.
Looking out over luscious green surroundings, it is a great escape from the built up town where you can relax – but still have easy access to all the amenities.
The simple design and layout of the dorm bedrooms makes it all the more cosy. Spacious communal areas and fun games like a billiard and table tennis table are perfect to make new traveller friends.
Margarita Surf Hostel even has a restaurant on-site so you don’t need to worry about travelling far for a tasty meal.
Advertised as a surf hostel, they don’t discriminate. Bali digital nomads, solo travellers and groups of friends are all welcome!

Nyaman Hostel
Hidden away in the rice paddies, just a short walk from Echo Beach, Nyaman Hostel is one of the best hostels in Canggu for its serene and tranquil location.
Surrounded by expansive fields, it is a relaxing oasis where you can escape the crowds of Canggu.
I would love to spend a long trip here where my daily activities are only lounging around the pool and walking to the beach. Heaven!
Featuring both mixed and female-only dorms, this is an idyllic and peaceful getaway.
Island Home from Home
Mojosurf Camp is the top spot for experienced, or wannabe surfers in Canggu. You can enjoy surf lessons, meet new friends and explore the island with the experienced guides, getting to know the best waves and ways to tackle them.
There is a choice of private rooms, 4 bed or 8 bed dorms with en suite, A/C and lockers, plus 24/7 security.
Spend some time unwinding beside the pool, grab a Bintang at the bar, and stay connected with free high-speed WiFi.
Moment’s from the Beach
Location, location, location..
Caroline Hostel may be one of the more basic hostels in this list, but you can’t beat the location!
Just a few minutes walk from Echo Beach, it is the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful escape, away from the busy crowds of central Canggu but still just a short drive from the popular restaurants and cafes.
Featuring comfortable dorm bedrooms and an indoor pool, it is a great base for a Canggu adventure.
A Great Digital Nomad Spot
Draper Startup
If you are a budding entrepreneur, freelance digital nomad or a remote worker, this is a cool hostel environment for you.
Bringing together a group of hard-working individuals, Draper Startup House is a thriving hub for people looking to discuss business, learn tricks of the trade and make friends with some other travelling workers.

Beautiful Boutique Canggu Hostel
A favourite among the Bali hostel crowd, The Farm Hostel is tropical, fun and social.

With mixed and female only dorms, a sunny garden and pool, you can get to know the other travellers while sipping an ice-cold beer.
Spend lazy days around the hostel, and bustling night’s playing drinking games and visiting the best bars in Canggu with the friendly staff. Where better to cure your hangover than around the pool?!
Affordable and Social Spot
Castaway Hostel is a classic Bali hostel. It has rice paddy views, a sunny garden, pool and pool bar, as well as an awesome location.
A great spot for backpackers, there are mixed and female-only dorms and private rooms. Fitted with air-conditioning and Western bathrooms, this cheap spot will quickly feel like home.
