Your girls trip to Bali made it out of the group chat! A getaway in Bali is just what the doctor ordered!

Yet again, I’m here to provide you with all of my best tips and tricks on how to get the most out of your girls trip to Bali – accommodation, parties and all 😉

Bali is my favorite island to enjoy some much-needed girl time. It caters to literally everyone in the group from the girly spa girl to the adrenaline junkie.

I don’t know about you, but planning a solo trip is hard enough, let alone getting everyone’s schedules together for a group trip.

Luckily, Bali has a little bit of everything. Incredible beach clubs for the boujee friend, adventure for our outdoorsy types, relaxing spa time for the zen seekers, and, of course, so much more. Get ready for some serious holiday planning with this in-depth guide!

Taking a Girls Trip to Bali

I can picture it now – coffee by the pool, brunch dates, spa days, exploring the island. It’s gonna be a dream come true.

This guide will answer all your questions about where to stay, what to do, and ultimately, how to plan the absolute best girls trip to Bali.

Let’s jump in!

Where to Stay for a Girls Trip to Bali

Seminyak

Seminyak is exactly where you and your girls need to be for days full of salt, sun and fun. The beaches are absolute gorgeous, the restaurants are delicious, and the nightlife is everything you need for a GNO!

Seminyak is your ultimate beach bum holiday location. You can spend the morning at Double 6 Beach – the soft golden sand and turquoise waters are the perfect way to start the day. Full of different restaurants and bars to stop at, and you can also rent chairs and an umbrella.

If your group is looking for something a little more luxurious, Seminyak has some of the most luxurious beach clubs in Bali that you won’t want to miss. The champagne bottles will be poppin’ to some of the best DJs, and you can nibble on some bomb food while lounging around the infinity pool!

Potato Head and Ku De Ta are my two favorite, and the most popular, beach clubs in Seminyak. For the single ladies in the group, these are great places to enjoy some eye candy 😉

Seminyak is an excellent area for a girls trip to Bali if you’re a fan of shopping and want something unique to add to your wardrobe.

Unlike Bali’s other markets and shopping areas, shopping in Seminyak is full of upscale, unique boutiques where you can find one-of-a-kind sarongs, dresses, and jewelry. You and your girls will be the definition of Boho-chic after a shopping spree in Seminyak!

Lastly, Seminyak is perfect for the gals who love a good cup of coffee. The cafe scene in Seminyak is truly epic. You have to try out my favorite spot, Sisterfields, or try the the best espresso on the island at Revolver.

Canggu

If your girl group vibe is after a more chilled and laidback spot to stay, Canggu is the place to be.

The beachy town has become a massive hotspot over the last couple of years, with many people opting for its hippie vibes over the luxe life of Seminyak.

The area has become filled with tons of cafes with delicious food. But I will say, with the cute cafe spots come digital nomads.. Canggu will be your number one option if anyone in your group is working!

If not, having an area full of digital nomads can make it hard to meet other travelers. As long as you don’t mind laptops everywhere, then Canggu is paradise! You can start each day with an acai bowl at Superfood Canggu or Aussie-style brunch at The Shady Shack Cafe.

Canggu also has some great waves if you wanna try your hand at surfing. There are plenty of great surf schools in Canggu that you can hit up to learn how to catch a wave. For those, more like me, who like to hang on the sand, you can get some epic pics of your friends face planting the waves while sipping ice-cold coconuts.

The hipster town is full of some really cool hang-out spots like La Brisa. They have an incredible market on Sundays, and some of the best cocktails I’ve had in Bali! Nights out are where you’ll find that Canggu really shines – they have everything from local bars to super luxe clubs, hidden bars and full-on dance clubs.

Ubud

If your group has been dreaming of yoga retreats, rice terraces, and settling into the tropical jungle of Bali, Ubud should def be your girl gang’s choice!

Ubud has all the spiritual vibes that Bali is known for. It’s located in central Bali, and is a great spot to enjoy luscious greenery and explore some of those more cultural aspects of the island. There aren’t any beaches around, but PLENTY of thick jungles, treetop views and tropical nature.

Most of the famous photos you see of Bali are taken around Ubud. You can spend your days exploring the outstanding rice terraces of the area, lazing in jungle clubs overlooking treetops and venturing into museums and temples highlighting Bali’s unique and super cool culture.

A lot of Bali has been taken over by expats and digital nomads, which, – no shade to them – but a lot of culture can get lost when surrounded by a lot of non locals.

Ubud is one of those places that has still kept the authentic culture and beliefs alive. By making visits to places like Pura Gunung Kawi and Pura Tirta Empul you will get to explore the history of Balinese Hinduism, take part in traditional cleansing ceremonies and immerse in the unique magic of the island.

What to Do During a Girls’ Trip to Bali

Get your phones out, you are gonna wanna screenshot this list of things to do in Bali during your girls trip!

Visit a Beach Club: I’ve been to beach clubs in all parts of the world, and nowhere quite does it like Bali. For half the price of places like Ibiza or Mykonos, you and your girlfriends will get the same luxury experience and, in my opinion, way better vibes. This is a must-do on your girls’ trip to Bali.

Indulge in Spa Days: What’s a girls’ trip without a little pampering? And the island does it like no other. With treatments from head to toe, you can schedule facials and massages and even get some Botox if that’s your thing. The spas in Bali are top-notch and at a fraction of the price of Western countries.

Learn how to Surf: Bali is the perfect place to finally learn to surf. The waves are ideal for beginners, and the beaches are lined with schools to help you get up on your board. This is one of my favorite things to do with a group because you get to cheer each other on while having a lot of fun!

Explore Local Markets: Stop by local markets in Bali like the Ubud Art Market and the Seminyak Flea Market to shop for handcrafted souvenirs, jewelry, and traditional Balinese fabrics. For a more boutique experience, spend a Sunday morning at La Brisa!

Take a Yoga Class: I don’t know what’s in the air, but yoga classes in Bali are on another level. From beachfront to among the rice paddies, there are so many different places you can join a yoga class.

Visit Temples: Spend a day exploring Balinese culture and religion by visiting the ancient Balinese temples dotting the island. Not only is the architecture incredible, but you’ll also be blessed with good luck, and I know we could all use a little of that.

Visit Rice Terraces: Rice terraces in Bali are one of the most iconic views on the island. From the towering, mountainside terraces to the flat, sprawling paddies, visiting rice terraces will leave you in awe.

Go Chasing Waterfalls: Hop in a car, blast some TLC and get out on the road to chase some waterfalls. Mostly in central Bali, the waterfalls in Bali range from popular to completely hidden.

Hike Mount Batur for Sunrise: There’s always that one friend who wants to get out to do activities while the rest of you want a lazy lie in. Satisfy their urge with the relatively easy and beautiful sunrise hike up Mount Batur.

Catch a Golden Hour Sunset: Ending an island day in Bali with a magical sunset is the perfect way to wrap up a day with the girls. From the beachfront, clifftop or hillside, sunsets in Bali are magnificent!

How to Stay Safe During a Girls’ Trip to Bali

Traveling to a new country can always be a little worrisome. New places, new languages, and new customs – you don’t want to get caught out doing something wrong. It can be scary, but the best way to stay safe in Bali is to be aware.

  • Like anywhere in the world, you’ll find everyday pickpockets in Bali. When you’re walking the streets, keep your valuables close and on your inside, away from the street. It is relatively common for motorbike riders to drive by, grab your bag and zoom off!
  • If you and your girls decide to rent a motorbike, or hop on the easy GOJEK and Grab bikes, be sure to wear a helmet and suitably cover yourself! Accidents in Bali are SUPER common – don’t become part of the statistic of silly foreigners.
  • At night, don’t wander off alone! Stick with your group at all times. Navigating the areas can be a little complicated, especially at night after a few drinks. Make sure someone always know where you are heading and when you will be back.

You don’t need to do anything crazy or special, just using some common sense and being aware of your surroundings will keep you safe.

Final Thoughts

Just writing this has me jealous! Your girls trip to Bali is gonna be one for the books!

I can’t imagine a better way to experience this island than with your best girls. Whether your group is looking for a party, nature, or a spiritual retreat (hopefully, all three), you’re sure to have the time of your lives.

Enjoy mornings by the pool, hit up markets in the afternoons, and wrap up the day with a cocktail at the beach club. It’s going to be awesome!

You will make so many happy memories with lots of laughter, and experiences to share for a lifetime. I hope my guide gave you all the answers for where to stay, what to do, and how to have the absolute best time during your girls trip to Bali!
